Drunk in love.

Sat here on my own thinking of you and me, netflix and biscuits,

You were with me because I was a misfit,

But between us it’s just distance,

Trying to get us back to where we were, trying to lift us.

My friends keep telling me; give it up, give it up, let her go, live it up,

I guess I drink too much, Have another drink and I can feel your touch…  it’s a crutch.

Call it drunk in love, call it what you wana,

But I was on the keys, you were the performer,

You were my side-kick you were my Robin, but it’s like you went and forgotten and I find it all shocking,

Hate to be truthful, but it’s mad to think you won’t hold me like you used to.
And I’ve saved all your texts with x’s,

Disagreements with your x’s,

But best wishes,

Mr,  Mrs,

Not right man, this isn’t what I wanted..

Mentally physic, flying quidditch,

Rounders, hit it, round the park after dark and our visits to the drive through,

And late night Thai food,

But that night you were in a right mood,

And smiled at the other guys cute,

Right through to the end, I’d walk on hot coals,

To make you happy that was my goal,

I thought enough loyalty was shown I didn’t expect to be Royaly thrown,

Sat here with these beers all alone,

In an empty home,

It’s mad to think you won’t hold me like you used to.

A Week In The Life Of Me #2

So guys, I guess Thursday is now the official home of ‘A week in the life of me’.

The weekend just gone I did some videoing with my son for one of my tracks called ‘Turn that music down’. We were messing around and he really loved the being the director, especially when I wore some of my wife’s clothes! Shhh! Don’t tell the Internet or anything!

(Not me I prefer the tiger suit)

Oh, by the way I passed my maths exam. Blood, sweat and tears but got there in the end, looking forward to my counselling course now, but going to enjoy the rest of summer first!

I have struggled with sleeping this week, so much pressure of an early night can send you the other way, well, that’s what I have learnt, as of late. I have got two weeks off work starting next week. It has made my week so hard knowing that. I know it is all in your head but I can’t help thinking about it!!

This morning was cold before going to work, I loved it, being tired, you can’t beat it. Sorry I’ll stop bieng sarcastic now.  No, i mean the cold, It gives you a taster of the winter months, and it is kind of refreshing,  taking your mind to a different season, very therapeutic!
It’s like when I came out of work today, after a day and night of rain, there it was, glorious sunshine. The weather making us appreciate it, just feels so much better after the rain!

Wierd energy today, Thursday’s are rubbish at work. Every one was swinging around chandeliers near enough today.

One more day to go till my holiday off work, have you guys got any time off work in the summer? Anything that stood out this week for you? Let me know in the comments!

Advice For Musicians who want Gigs.

Upon the days of the music journey for us artists, it gets hard, you get sick of been your own boss, you spend hours in songs, days, weeks &  months. You put your all in and stump up to your local boozer only to be valued as an average joe.

Upon my beautiful journey, I met my good friend Alam, by which time i was sick, sick of not gigging, sick of been the odd one out. I wanted gigs just to have gigs, so I wouldn’t get nervous as hell next time I performed.

I did a few shows with Alam, we achieved greatly together, he always said to me don’t worry about not having shows you can do songs and still achieve at home, of course, I was still wrapped up in I want more gigs mode.

(There we are at Hull City Hall)

Years later, The advice that I took from Alam came to fruition. Now I look forward to the time I have gigging. But in the meantime I can build an artillery of new songs & stuff to do live.

So do not worry if you don’t have gigs, trust me, your not failing. Take that from experience, they’ll come. Spend time on making your sound right. I probably have more chance of getting gigs now more than I ever had. but right now.. You bet, I’m building up at home.

Body Language, Eating Out & Handshakes.

So, I was Sat having a meal at a pub with the Mrs. A steak, it was delicious. The Mrs wasn’t so keen after finding a big chunk of fat on her steak. She didn’t say nothing though, well at least her mouth didn’t.

The bar lady came over and asked how the meal was. I said, great, cheers. My wife said it was lovely, thanks. I noticed a twitch in her shoulder as she said it. I already new she was lieing.

I did a little digging and came across clusters. Now,  clusters are when people try to lie and fake the whole face thing. But, the human body knows better and responds to the lieing in a different way, I. E. Twitching, leg, hand gestures.

The other things I read about are handshakes. Now, we all know that old battle of a firmer handshake, alpha male and all that crap. But there is things like photo donimation. If you are on the left hand side (looking at the photo) you appear to be the more dominant, especially with handshakes, take a look..

Ok, some player is going to try and stop the left hand character, being more dominant, how can he do it? Like this…

Putin moves his hand further up with a tight grip, making Obama look like the donimated. Also it can create moments of awkwardness, like this..

Now Putin is getting owned, so what does he do? Adds another hand, giving more power to him but also making them look like a cute couple. Awkward, but Putin comes out trumps. (Silly political joke not intended).

I am not big on politics, but I find they are the best examples for handshakes.

Watch out for clusters, handshakes and fatty steak!

The Days – lyrics #1

Avici / Robbie Williams -The Days

Heart ache, heart break
All over town
But something flipped like a switch when you came around
And I’m in pieces, pick me up and put me together…

These are the days we’ve been waiting for
On days like these who could ask for more?

Leave them coming ’cause we’re not done yet
These are the days we won’t regret
These are the days we won’t forget.

Where are you from? And what do you love most about it?

My fellow followers, I talk with you, your on my feed.

I usually follow them who follow me, not to gain followers, but to gain a shared interest.

I love your posts! It’s refreshing having a shared interest and learning from you. I know lots about your contribution to the blogsphere, but where are you from?

I’m from England, although, I can’t really understand why there isn’t a one world language yet. I don’t like even like saying the word ‘foreign’. It differentiates us, when we are much closer and work better together.

The thing I love about England most is the humour, people are so witty, especially in the north (not because I’m from the north) lol.

So let me know where your from.. Tell me one thing you love about it!
